Heterozygotes exhibiting the AB (253/259 bp) genotype were observed in 5 of 28 nests from Prachuap Khiri Khan located slightly above the Kra ecotone and 11 of 53 nests originated further south of the Kra ecotone. Genotype distribution patterns of CUTc1 clearly indicated intraspecific population differentiation of Thai T. collina.”
“Nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) has been grown using a
nanodiamond seeding technique, leading to a dense form of this material, with grain sizes around 100 nm. The electrical properties of both intrinsic and lightly boron-doped NCD have been investigated using impedance spectroscopy and Hall effect measurements. For intrinsic material, both grain boundaries and grains themselves initially contribute to the frequency dependant impedance see more values recorded. However, boundary conduction can be removed and the films become highly resistive. Interestingly, the ac properties of these films are also excellent with a dielectric loss value similar to 0.004 for frequencies up to 10 MHz. The dielectric properties of these NCD films are therefore as good as high quality large grain polycrystalline diamond films. In the case of
boron-doped material, p-type material with good carrier mobility values (10-50 cm(2)/V s) can be produced at carrier concentrations around 10(17) cm(-3).”
“Complicated crown fractures are not uncommon in cases of severe trauma or sports related injury. Such patients report with pain because YM155 molecular weight of exposed pulp and need emergency care. Because of impaired function, esthetics, and phonetics, such patients are quite apprehensive during their emergency visit. Successful pain find more management with immediate restoration of function, esthetics, and phonetics should be the prime
objective when handling such cases. This article describes immediate treatment of oblique crown root fracture of maxillary left central incisor, horizontal root fracture of maxillary left lateral incisor, and uncomplicated crown fracture of maxillary right central incisor. Maxillary left central incisor was treated with reattachment procedure using light-transmitting fiber post (D. T. Light Post; Bisco, Schaumburg, IL, USA); maxillary left lateral incisor subsequently healed after splinting for 7 weeks, and direct composite build-up was done on maxillary right central incisor. After 2 years, the reattached fragment had satisfying esthetics and excellent function and pulp was still vital in maxillary left lateral incisor and maxillary right central incisor. Various treatment modalities for traumatically injured incisors are shown in this article. (Oral Surg Oral Med Oral Pathol Oral Radiol Endod 2009; 107: e48-e52)”
